We offer a full day kindergarten program and grades first through sixth grade before we tuition our students into Amherst Middle School for seventh and eighth grade. We pride ourselves in small class sizes with deep attention to student challenges and strengths. All grades participate in weekly Technology/Library class, Guidance class, Art class, Music class, Physical Education class and Spanish class. We also provide intervention in the areas of Literacy and Math for those students needing extra support.
Each year we welcome community members and family members to share in our unique school culture for our Halloween Parade, Veteran's Day, Grandparent's Day, Memorial Day and two concerts each year for musical performances. Our students are invited to participate in the annual Spelling Bee and Geography Bee and our newly added Robotics Team.
Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is very active meeting monthly and providing support to our many events each year. Sixth grade yard sale, Breakfast with Santa, and a year end academic focused event are just a small part of what the PTA is actively involved in during our year.
The Mont Vernon Village School is the true example of the saying, It takes a village. The families and staff are committed to providing opportunities to watch our students grow and learn. We look forward to your commitment and energy to help us achieve our goal:
To Engage, Support and Challenge All Learners
